Business Overview

With features such as convenience, cleanliness, and safety, city gas has been used extensively by households and industries

What is city gas? Natural gas (NG) extracted from the gas field is frozen at 162 degrees below zero for mass transportation and storage; its volume is compressed to 1/600th and changed to colorless and transparent liquid called LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), which is then vaporized and supplied as natural gas.

Clean energy

City gas is a non-polluting, clean fuel and the best energy that causes no environmental pollution because it discharges almost no pollutants when it burns, since dust, SOx, and NOx are removed during gas liquefaction.

Comparison of released pollutants by fuel (unit: g/10,000 Kcal) - natural gas : Sulfur oxygen compound 0.01/carbon monoxide 0.3/nitrogen oxides 1/dust 0, kerosene : Sulfur oxygen compound 0.2/carbon monoxide 0.6/nitrogen oxides 1.9/dust 0.5, heavy oil : Sulfur oxygen compound 4.1/carbon monoxide 0.6/nitrogen oxides 4/dust 1.2

Safe energy

City gas is lighter than air. Therefore, it is safe energy with low possibility of explosion, since it is easily vaporized even when it is leaked and the ignition temperature is high.

Future energy

City gas is rich in reserves throughout the world, and popular as substitute energy for petroleum because the reserve life index is greater than oil.

Type LNG oil coal
reserves about 188.1trillion ㎥ about 1.7 trillion barrels about 1.1 trillion tons
reserve life index about 48.8 years about 53.5years about 139 years

Economic energy

City gas has higher thermal efficiency than other fuel; it is applied to various business areas such as car, glass, electronics, textile, food, metal, and heat treatment. City gas is economical energy that addresses environmental problems.

Convenient energy

City gas does not require any separate means of transportation or storage facility because it is supplied through pipes buried underground. Therefore, city gas can utilize the space very efficiently, and it does not discharge waste and foreign substances.
